Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

• Account details: your name, email address and WhatsApp or phone number. Your password is stored in scrambled (hashed) form, so we cannot read it.
• Payout details: the bank name, account number and account name you add.
• Trade details: gift card photos and details, crypto deposits and addresses, amounts, rates and payouts.
• Support chat: the messages you send to our team.
• Games and referrals: your quick game scores, a first name and last initial on the weekly leaderboard, your coins and any airtime or data you redeem, and your referral code, invites and rewards. To keep referrals fair we also save a random code from your browser and a scrambled (hashed) form of your network address at sign-up, which we use only to spot duplicate accounts.
• Security logs: records of important account actions, which can include your IP address.
• Visit counts: anonymous page-view and click counts for the website. We do not store IP addresses or tracking cookies for these.

2. How we use it

• To create and protect your account, and to confirm your email.
• To review trades, pay you, and tell you about your orders.
• To answer your messages and keep you safe from fraud.
• To meet our legal duties and to improve the site.

3. Who we share it with

We never sell your personal information. We share it only with: service providers that help us run YM Exchange (for example hosting, database and email sending), the bank that receives your payout, and authorities when the law requires it. Market-price sources we use for rates do not receive your personal information.

4. Cookies and browser storage

We use one essential sign-in cookie to keep you logged in. Your browser also stores small settings on your device, such as your sound choice and best game scores, plus a daily game counter and a random device code used to keep referrals fair. You can clear these in your browser at any time.

5. Security

We use hashed passwords, email confirmation, one-time codes for sensitive actions such as removing a bank account, and access limits for our staff. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and keep it private.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your information while your account is open and for as long as needed to meet legal, tax and fraud-prevention duties. Anonymous visit counts are kept in summary form.

7. Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, or ask us to delete it, and you can object to some uses. We may need to keep certain records the law requires. To make a request, contact us using the details below. This page follows the principles of the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.

8. Children

YM Exchange is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

9. Changes

We may update this page. The date at the top shows the latest version.
